The Starting Point
Cafe Plus was an established cafe in Baldock with a Google Business Profile, customer reviews, existing food and premises photography, and a printed menu covering breakfasts, burgers, sandwiches, baguettes, jacket potatoes, desserts and drinks. The business did not have its own dedicated website.
Problem / Gap
Without a website, customers had no dedicated online destination where they could quickly understand the full food offering, browse the menu in a mobile-friendly format, view real images of the cafe and food, or access clear contact and phone-order information. The printed menu also needed to be reorganised for easier digital browsing rather than simply displayed as large menu photographs.
What Nexus Delivered
The existing printed menu was reorganised into a swipeable carousel covering breakfast and hot food, sandwiches and lunch, and drinks, desserts and children's options, making the menu easier to browse on smaller screens.
Existing Cafe Plus photography was incorporated throughout the website to showcase the storefront, kitchen, food and customer environment, alongside refreshed Cafe Plus branding based on the business's existing visual identity.
The website was structured with clear Baldock location information, click-to-call actions, FAQs, descriptive page content, image alt text and local business structured data to help search engines and AI systems better understand the business.
Outcome
Cafe Plus now has a deployment-ready website concept that brings its menu, food photography, location, contact details and key business information together in one structured digital experience. The new design replaces the absence of a dedicated website with a mobile-friendly platform built around menu discovery, phone orders and local business visibility.
